ICSS DCS Preventive Maintenance Checks

 What the Preventive Maintenance checks to be performed during turnarounds / Shutdown

1.       Redundancy checking

a)       Power supply 24VDC for controllers, switches and IO cabinet

b)      Controller redundancy

c)       Network switch redundancy

d)      Control firewall redundancy

e)      Server redundancy

2.       Inspection of power distribution cabinets

·       Check Earthing connections, ideally it should be zero, check earth pit

·       Visual inspection of MCBs, Voltmeter, Ammeter,

·       Inspection of power termination in each panel.

·       Check for voltages, 230VAC, 24VDC. Check for UPS supply

3.    Inspection of NTP Cabinet for DCS

Check power supply,

Check for diagnostics, fault alarms.

4.          Filter cleaning – canopy filters top side; normally 3 month and 6 months.

   Important to maintain temperature of cabinet.

5.           Cleaning of louvers, bottom, for sucking air inside.

6.     Check and inspection all cable terminations for network switches, make sure cables are tightened         properly.

7.       Carryout dressing of cabinet cable,

8.       Inspection of fans and panel lights, check and observe noise if any.

9.       Clean all I/O modules, controllers, firwells, switches, etc.

10 Clean all cabinets using vaccum cleaner

11  Cleaning of servers, and all operator workstations

12Check and inspect acrylic Front protection covers
