Control Valve
Control valve is the final control element in any process industry. It is used to control the pressure, flow, temperature of the process medium through regulating its valve components. It has primarily three major parts which are as follow:
1- Actuator
2- Value Body
3- Accessories
Actuator
Actuator is the part of the valve which is used to control the valve. Based on the operating mechanism of the actuator; control valve have three types of actuator.
- Hydraulic Actuator
- Pneumatic Actuator
- Electric Actuator
Valve Body
Valve body is the section of the control valve which is in direct contact with the process fluid and it regulates the flow. The control valve using its valve part either increase, decrease, open, close or change the direction of process fluid through it.
Accessories
The accessories part comprises of positioner, gauges, I/P, feedback links etc.
